the 2 will work mid throttle as then it is only a reistance input, but at idle the car may not run right,

some tend to oversimplify ... as the spec is 0-5v 4x4 and 5-0v 2wd, so just swapping the outer 2 wires will reverse the action, maybe, but im not 100% convinced
