Can't see why it would but interested if anyone has experienced reduced lag after fitting one.

ive noticed high end VW/AUDI setups some JAP too have smaller entry pipe and a larger outlet pipe to intake....apparently makes difference....

I guess it would depend on how easily the air flows through the cooler but I do not know the true answer. I guess with lower intake temps using the best coolers you could map and time it based on that?

Don't see it could make any significant difference.
Its the volume that has to be pressurised between the turbo and the inlet valves that creates lag the larger that volume is. As this is the volume to be pressurised before the engine cylinders see the boost pressure.

It would be interesting to see a back to back dyno run between say airtecs normal 500 style and a airtec 70mm top feed style. I'm betting nothing in it but great if it does reveal a better response.

What do you class as turbo lag? If you have significant turbo lag I would suggest there may be other reasons in your engine /electronics or the type of turbo etc that maybe need looking at.
I agree with others that I cant see a top feed intercooler would be any different to a normal intercooler in reducing your turbo lag.
