Sierra handbrake/parking warning light

Default Sierra handbrake/parking warning light

My sierra saph handbrake/parking warning light on dash does not work/has stopped working a while ago bulbs are ok and switch on handbrake is also ok, so can anyone tell me how it works so I can trace it and find fault (possibly broke wire)

Does the light work for the low fluid sender in the brake fluid reservoir? If you lift the sensor out of the fluid the light should come on.

I know. That also lights up when your brake fluid is low.

IIRC there is 12V on the bulb and the hand brake switch (or low fluid switch) connects it to ground to make the light come on.

Correct (as will low pressure)

so if i mess with fluid senso and light doesnt come on whats my next move?
Does the wire from handbrake switch go straight to the clocks?

Break in wiring, missing supply, or faulty bulb.

It will do, but I suspect there is a common join, where they go off separate ways.

Bulb is good clocks are new and bulbs are brand new
