Default 2006 Mondeo ST TDCi - Turbo Actuator re-build

Hi all,

I am in need of some advice.

Dad's 2006 Mondeo ST TDCi 2.2 broke down (again) and it's been worked out that the turbo actuator is broken after 188k miles of use.

I have found online (link below) a place that will re-build it. Would rather do this rather than replace the part as, from what I read, that a new one will need re-coding to the car.

Has anybody had this fault before & make any recomendations or have used this company before? There are also companies on eBay that offer the same service.

http://www.ecutesting.com/catalogue/...tua176878.html

The rod into the turbo & the turbo vanes are all ok and working / free.

Dad has bought a new car to replace the Mondeo but what it back on the road again as he doesn't want to have to take the new car onto site and wants it for the weekend & 'for best'.

Thanks

Andrew

The turbo actuators don't need programming. Just fit it and it will work. The problem is Ford don't sell them separately, they come with a new turbo.

Had it re-build in the end, £98. Seems to be ok so far.
