just wondering if anyone has the timing and valve lift specs for the stock ST170 camshafts? I'm trying to calculate whether I will need to have my pistons pocketed when changing over to a higher-lift racing cam...

Hi, thanks for the reccommend... I was looking at the Piper270 cams they have slightly lower lift.

Did you have to pocket the piston crowns, or was there sufficient clearance ?

any idea of the power / torque gains ??

 

dyno'd at 205 but thats with combination of other mods too, no piston work needed but I did buy entire kit inc followers etc tuner said the cams were prob worth around 12 ish extra hp

 

Those are huuge cams. These are for 280+ cams!!
