Default St 170 management light!

Hi all.
Not sure if anyone can help? Have brought a 03 model about a month ago.
Been sweet (and still is ). Last night got caught it that horrible storm and had to go through some standing water. After this the management light came on. Car runs fine but I think the fans are running all the time when the engine is running!!!!.
Now I would say normally it would be maybe a coolant switch or fan switch? But is the 170 got a strange set up?
Or would there be another issue that someone could point me in?
Cheers all.

Fan is controlled by ECU that uses just 1 water temp sensor. I think most modern cars dont have a separate fan switch any more.
Cheers

If the ecu detects a serious fault, it will permanently engage the cooling fans, just in case.

Remember also, if the air con is on, or the interior heater vents are set to windscreen (thus turning the a/c on), the cooling fans will also come on.

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset the light and see if it comes back.

Thanks for the information fella. Will look at the heater vent settings and disconnect the battery. Least that gives me somewhere to start.
As I said car running fine and all temps are fine.
Thanks again
