Default No coolant circulating?

Hi guys,
Right took my 2wd saph of the road about 2 years ago as wanting to save for an engine build, the engine still ran well it's just a little tired. Anyway I'm going to be moving house soon so need to get it roadworthy for the move. so fired it up today for first time since took it off the road and started on the button only problem is all the Coolant had disappeared, so topped it up but it's not circulating. My question is, is it a knackerd pump or could their be a nother reason as reluctant to change the pump as this would be part of the rebuild.
Thanx in advance
Daz

It won't, due to the thermostat being closed.

I did think that but I'm sure normally there's a flow of coolant coming in to the header tank even from cold?, it has been a while though so I might be wrong, I'll let it get hot after I've flushed if n see what happens.

Cheers daz

If the coolant has leaked out, (id be initially worried where that's gone!?) is the water pump sized, or thermostat jammed shut?

No idea wher it went never noticed a pool underneath n when I topped it up it didn't leak? The pump spins so I presume it's not seized, dose the stat stop flow completely I thought it just cut flow through the rad? But I'll try all these things when I get time.
Thanx for the advice lads

I had a BMW that leake oil in the same way?! I meant, if it's a bit rusty inside, if the stat would be knackered, regardless of restrictions it may cause... Lol

Good luck with it, hope you get it sorted easily/cheaply!!

Ah ok well it never used water when it was on the road but it's been sat n not touched for 2 years so thought maybe it just evaporated if that's poss in a sealed system? I drained the water I put in and it did look pretty manky so stat maybe stuck, I'm not really fussed of its knackerd I just need to get it mot'd so I can move house and drive it to Nms without it blowing up

That is the return from the turbo, which should still circulate.
