Default St170 crankcase breather

Hi,

Just signed up, currently restoring an St170.

Looking to upgrade air induction with enclosed air induction kit.

Noticed on the engine in the pic the crankcase breather has a different kind of filter.

This doesnt come in the induction kit? How do I get this part?

Looking forward to browsing the forum.

Thanks for any advice.

they are wrong for the 170 as they will simply fill up with oily mixture and do more harm than good and look tacky if honest as your coil pack cowling should cover that pipe when it connects into the airbox, also if your going for a induction system the cone needs to be fully enclosed or you will never see any benefits just poor economy and noise,

you dont need to add it as quality induction kits have the feed receptor for the pipe, apart from ramair there is hardly any fully enclosed systems on our market as its mainly used in the US on their svt models

if I am honest unless its a 100% enclosed system I would rather fit a decent panel filter and forget induction kits like k&n etc as they are all noise and when warmer weather comes around they waste fuel
