As some of you know, Cossie ownership has its ups and down. Mostly ups but now I'm thinking I would like a bit more out of the Engine. Currently running a NMS Stage 3+ Tune (T34 Turbo, Green Injectors etc) and running around 340/350 bhp as per previous Printouts. I love the car but just doesn't feel as Urgent as I thought it would. Either that or I am getting used to the power and now I'm looking for more. I'd like to hit the 400+ mark but since this is my first Cosworth I am wondering what the best way to go about it would be??
I know that Turbo Technology has changed massively since the car was originally tuned so looking to update it quite a bit.... Any advice??
Should be fairly straight forward, New turbo ( lots of different ones to choose from), 83lb injectors, L8 ecu , pf09, Custom chip, wasted spark ignition, hart style inlet plenum, and a Bosche 044 fuel pump. That will see over 400 bhp with no problem.
Sort all your electrics if you want to get there easily and safely.
An Autodynamix engine loom makes a huge difference on these. Mine made 460bhp at MSD on greys. Most they'd ever had on those injectors!
T38, inlet cam, headwork, spaced 4x4 inlet, wasted spark L8 and all the usual stuff.

Wow!! A new engine loom made that much difference, 460 bhp on greys is amazing as they usually run out of puff around the 400 bhp mark. I have Siemens 83lb injectors to get similar bhp .How have you found the T38 ,as recently there has been a few people slating it on here ?
i had smaller one ut t38 roller bearing..still have it but removed it cause didn't like how it drove..it is strong one but not much torque,468nm on siemens 83s..it lost that punch..

Everyone was pretty amazed! The electrics make a huge difference on these. Actually just put together a big feature for Fast Ford about exactly this subject, will be out the issue after next.

Really progressive power delivery, relentless all the way to the redline. I much prefer is to the spikey delivery I had with a T34 previously.

I have a CR T38 with billet compressor and have been very pleased with it, virtually no lag and spools up really well. I have also got a new engine , fans and fuel pump loom plus wasted spark ignition.
Depends on your budget, personally when I get around to looking at mine I'll be taking the T4 off and going for a EFR 7670 I think, there's a couple of threads about it on here if you want to have a look, it seems to be the most modern setup for that kind of power range, but as I understand it will be slightly more expensive for the turbo and exhaust manifold to suit as opposed to a T38.
