mk2 1.6 tdci lack of power
Hello everyone,
I have just purchased an 08 facelift Focus zetec 1.6 tdci with 83k.
The car is very hesitant and is very low on power, it will get up to 80mph but very slowly and overtaking is not an option.
I have checked for faults using Forscan but the only fault that shows is to do with the EPS.
I had a very similar fault on my 02 1.8 tddi which was a split in the small pipe going from the inlet manifold to what I believe is the MAP sensor.
Could this problem be similar and if so where is the MAP sensor located?
Is there any way to test the MAP sensor as I don't want to throw money at replacing sensors needlessly.
Has anyone else had a similar problem and what was the cause?
