Post Zetec Turbo Expert Required

Hi guys,

I'm absolutely fed of my CVH letting me down every other week, so I figure it's time to spend some cash and build a reliable Blacktop zetec turbo motor, the only problem is that there are so many different opinions on what you should use to build it, what's right and what's wrong etc etc - you get the idea. Lot's of opinions but not much fact can be deciphered from it unfortunately.

So I thought what I would do is appeal to anyone who has built a Zetec turbo that matches what I'm looking for and see if they would be kind enough to furnish me with a list of what needs to be bought to build a good, strong and reliable engine.

I already have a 2.0L Blacktop from a Mondeo
I don't want to use a decompression plate

So it's literally down to what pistons, rods, injectors, head gasket, management, turbo - basically everything that is required to take my standard Blacktop and squeeze a reliable 250BHP out of it.

Thanks

Craig.

Have a look in the rs turbo section buddy, there's a guide in there on how to build an st170 based zetec turbo & the guy that wrote the guide Karlos was running the set up for a couple of years reliably at 300+ bhp.

I'm no expert, but, I was in the same position so I went for the zetec swap.
I'm using a 2.0 mondeo blacktop, PEC pistons and rods, Bosch green injectors, uprated valves springs, standard ford head gasket, omex 600 managment, the CVH t3 and manifold on an adapter plate, cvh efi flywheel.
You'll probably want a better gearbox than a std BC if you are aiming for 250bhp if you haven't already got one.

One thing I will say is what ever you think your budget will be, it'll be more. All the little bits add up. Boost pipes, sensors, water hoses, fuel lines, loom etc
There is a bit of faffing about trying to get water hoses, alternator and some other bits to fit but nothing major.
