me (focus RS) and a friend (lotus elise) fancy doing a track day ion nect couple months.

have previously done bedford on the passionford day but was told the car was borderline on the driveby noise meters, they didn't end my day but im concerned that might spoil my fun.

i loved the track at bedford with a mix of good corners, straights and the access to the pits was great.

whats snetterton like? i know the noise regs are a bit more relzxed, its further for me (90 miles vs 40 miles) but trying to decide between the 2 tracks?

both are same day, same price and open pit lane?

thoughts?

 

Silverstone dont bother too much for noise either - well they didnt whenever i took my moonstone 3dr round there - was a few years ago now tho

 

Silverstone track days are Ł300 though

Bedford and snet are only Ł100 in November

 

100 is cheap - may be better off buying a bung for the exhaust mate - put it on after they pull in for being too loud

 

what about brands hatch

 

If they say it's too loud at Bedford it's too late. Will look into a Bung though

 

Bedford is terrible its not called the library for nothing ! They want to sell trackdays but want a car to be a whisper and most track cars are not lol , Really surprised Palmer got involved in the shit hole tbh

just booked me and a friend on Ł99 each on the 9th November through MSV

open pit lane all day

 

I'm doing brands on the 2nd for the performance for track day,

I got snett for Ł80 and brands was Ł187 I think inc garage

 

i couldn't find any codes to get it less than Ł99 and split the cost of a garage with my friend.

 

Bedford track is also very boring , 1 decent straight, dead flat with no twisty bends . I took the RS4 there this year .

 

Ill take a look in a moment as i've never been to snetterton

Ive done snetterton a couple of times since the track refurb and the new section of circuit is very good and imo turned it from a boring track into a great one. Me and a couple of mates are planning on going in November so let us know what date you book would be nice to see some other fords there! It'll be my first time taking the frs on track, last time was in my saff about 18month ago. There was a Porsche owners club there last time I went and was having a good play with some of them one of the blokes come and found me in the pits and asked what the hell I'd done to the saff as he was struggling to keep up with a 25yr old Sierra in his brand new 911 lol
