No longer need my mk1 diesel focus to be a commuter so thinking something big comfy

5 series
7 series

A8
Jag xj
Jag s type

Of the above for the money the 5 series or 7 series seem the best looking cars

The 2 does feel dated but not to drive, mine was a 51 but the ES model so full leather, active suspension, climate, full electrics etc etc, so long as it's been used and kept well regardless of mileage they are great

Cheers Glenn, was Ł1800 with FSH and 3 owners, I then just fitted coilovers, wheels, a short shift kit and tinted the windows to make it how it is now.

How does it ride on the coilovers Karl?
I love the old e38s, a guy i used to know had a brand new 7 series (e65?) back in 2008, drove it a few times nothing could beat it for comfiness!

I went for a midrange Apex kit (Ł560 IIRC) and am actually really impressed, even with those heavy 19's and low profile tyres the ride is still good, it's not like it was factory, like driving a cloud lol but still nice
You don't get compression or rebound adjustment like on a Ł1000+ kit but they are infinity better than the crap bone shaking, back breaking Ł200 kit's out there.

Thanks for that Karl, thinking about a set for my monshito as with the 20s on it sits a little higher than I would like even though it's on lowering springs.

Like that s-class!

The e38 is very high in the list it's the car I want TBH as I love the look Karl yours is spot on is it a gen sport what engine did you go for? what's happened to the z4?

I'm also considering e46's as it would seem for my budget I can get a facelift m sport if I don't care about engine and transmission

That S Class is nice!

It's a manual 530i M Sport Marcus, the Z4 is still with me (still waiting to be turbo charged when I have bloody time!), the E39 is just for work really, picking up parts, taking heads, blocks, cranks etc. to the engineers and back in the Z4 is not very practical! lol
