Is a crashed saff worth 2k?
I have lost my precious sapphire after some idiot crashed into the back of me, one of the rear chassis arms is bent and it has been written off as a CAT D.
His insurance company have said I can buy the car off them for £2K and I'm wondering whether I'm likely to get more than this for the car if I sell it.
I don't have the tools or time to strip everything out so would sell it as a whole car, it has a stage 3 conversion, engine done 120K, newish turbo, good gearbox, leather interior (drivers seat torn and needs refurbing).
I need to make a decision over the weekend, any opinions????

a rust piece of snot up north did almost 5k on flea bay last year-it had been hit fairly hard in the rear-didnt look to have been any good when it was straight either
at 2k back at your door i would say easy double your money and some

I would say grab the offer with both hands , if you don't want to strip it your self put it straight on ebay and watch the profit fly in ,as I would guess if its a nice car it will fetch at least 4k

I no you mention no tools or time, but this is what i'd look at, depending on what the insurnce pay you out,
just needs the engine, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Sierr...item19fefd4702
then break the rest of your bits and sell off

i thought let yu buy it back at the scrap value. we bought my lad's 55 plate Corsa back for £121 when someone stoved the door in. £50 for a new door, and 3 years later it's still going strong!

Ok, it won't be the original car at the end, but next best thing!
