He's a good driver, but not ultimately the quickest against the clock, the likes of Loeb have more talent.

 

Agreed, when you look at his route into motorsport and the financial and commercial resources at his disposal to get there, you can't say it has been a level playing field. I'm not saying he's a shit driver ffs, but he's all about monster energy sponsors and fancy YouTube videos, any wrc driver could pull off those moves with their eyes closed.

Ken Block is a showman yes, but he can drive too. He's bever claimed to be the best yet everyone slates him for some unknown reason.

I personally love what he does, gymkhana videos, global rallycross and high level rally competitions.

When you have a big PR machine showing off your skills but don't actually have any titles to your name it's bound to bring critics, that's just normal really. It's all relatively speaking ofcourse, do I think he's a good driver, yes, do I think he's worthy of being a rally icon, definitely not.

So back to the task at hand, it must've taken a lot of clout to arrange all that for the set through the proper channels, and most likely taken a while to shoot all the difference sequences. Something we probably all take for granted when watching a 12 minute clip.

While I agree with rog I think he could've worded it better. I took it as meaning he has nowhere near the natural talent of the likes of Loeb but that's understandable considering his abilities. But the point I assume rog is getting at is that without his money he wouldn't be where he is, and that I agree with. I imagine with his financial backing there are many drivers who are as talented/capable as Block but they will never get the opportunity to show that. So fair play Ken Block for living the dream.

I also have to agree with it's Czech mate too though, he was only putting his point across and was discussing the topic so I cant really see what the issue is. No offence Jay but as a moderator I wouldn't think you should be singling people out like that and being abusive. Obviously that's my opinion and I couldn't give a fuck who likes it or who doesn't and to be fair I couldn't really care less about the petty falling out but I thought I would point out how it looks from someone who isn't involved.
