My reversing light is not working, checked the bulb and it's good, there's 12v coming back with reverse engaged, the earth is good(I checked continuity between it and the chassis), I've also checked the bulb socket and it looks all good, yet still not working...
Any pointers what could be wrong please?

 

have you actually tried another bulb as there is no reason for it not to work if the socket is getting a live and earth ?

 

Yep, I got a new box of bulbs and tried those, same result. Is it possible that I'm not getting enough current through?

 

anythings possible with cars, try testing it with a digtial multimeter, as it could poss be the switch
