Hi All

Just a quick question do the mk1 focus tddi 1.8 diesel engines have a sump gasket or are they just a sealant job?

I have been asking about but there seems to be confusion, some say rubber gasket some say sealant.

can anyone help on this?

I dont want to strip it down to realise i need a gasket and then cant get one from anywhere

 

mine is sealant 2002 tdci

 

mine is the same year so hopefully sealant although i have just ordered a gasket from eurocarparts

 

mine was also sealant although its still pissing oil from somewhere

 

It is a sealent from the factory but when mine started leaking I managed to get a seal from motorfactors.
