Hello am i right in thinking the speedo cable into the box, the fitments are all the same as wanting to fit a electronic speed sensor for a digi dash build using like a mk5 speed sensor for the signal or do you guys use another or can point me in the right direction ? thanks for you help cheeRS

 

MK5 will fit if it comes from an IB5 box, but also any MK4 escort with a fuel/trip computer has one too

 

THanks mate you did a digi dash dint you once ? what speed output did you use was it from a MK4 box ?

 

I think the focus MK1 and KA fit to right ?, last job is the digi dash from an astra after a full rebuild and custom rewire so last bit and the old brain is worn out lol

 

I did yes, I think I was using a Ka box at the time, my speedo was configurable so could use any speed sender... this might be the problem with your Astra one, it will be designed to use a particular input (pulsed or varying voltage maybe) and that may or may not be the same as whats available for the Ford gearbox's.

 

I have made a pulse converter so whatever signal i get doesnt matter i can adjust it to what i need if that makes sense. All i need is a signal then my astra may say 70mph at 30mph i can adjust the input via the converter and save it onto a memory V2 chip so the KA one fits the RS box ? i think that looks the easiest to buy cost wise thanks mate for taking time to answer
