Hi people iv got a 1.6 mk1.5 focus, the problem iv got is that when it gets to 3000rpm i can hear this awful awfully annoying rattling, its smooth until i hit 3000rpm it sounds like its defiantly coming from the engine if anyone can help me sort this out would be great.

, I would prefer to hear it for real, for instance take it to a mechanic you can trust,
or upload a video , and explain does the noise continue above 3000,,
are you using correct zetec engine oil , is the oil level ok ,
has it been serviced within last 12 months,

 

It seems to stop just after 3000 then start again, iv took it to a couple of garages they said they dont no what it is, iv dropped the oil an put new filter an 5w/30 semi oil, changed the plugs, its gettin a new clutch end of month gunna see if he can diagnose the problem, just wondered if any one on here has experienced this.

 

I suggest you try a better garage
as the "I don`t know what it is" answer is what my nan would have said

 

Did i not say in the last post that i was having my clutch done at the end of the month so I'm gunna see what e says, if u haven't got a suggestion as to what the problem is apart from take it to a garage witch is the obvious solution then don't comment
