Question Zetec Turbo donor car - what can/should I take?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to build a 2.0L Zetec Turbo motor for my S1 out here in Australia. I have bought a Mondeo as a donor car & I was wondering what parts other than the engine & gearbox could or should be taken before the car goes to the scrappers? This may sound daft (I'm a noob), but should the gear linkage be kept from the donor or will my S1 linkage be ok? Any help or even lists of things to take would be really appreciated!

Thanks!

If your insure I'd just take everything and then chuck what you don't use when your done.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion but perhaps I should be a little clearer with my question, what can be taken from the mondeo that can be used on my S1? Do brakes fit? Is the gearbox more beneficial than the standard S1 box? I don't want to have a junked mondeo sat at my house for however long it may take to realise which parts could be needed - I was wondering if anyone with a little knowledge could help me?

Thanks!
