Default Finally.

I finally got the ST interior for my MK1. Was a little bit of a fiddle but got there in there end. The full interior was £100. And they're in really good condition.

There's one thing though, the driver has an electric motor to raise or lower the bottom. The loom that fit's into the bottom of the seat, should power it. Does anyone have any idea how i can power the motor? Also what is that loom there for?

You'll have the loom under the seat for the pre tensioner, airbag (yellow cables) and obviously for the motor.

When I did mine I chopped off the plug from my original seats , leaving some wiring, chopped the plugs off the ST seats and then reattached the old plugs to the st seats using connectors for the relevant wires (they should be the same colours).

I also cut holes in the rear door cars for the winders and used the existing door pull surround (so it didn't look out of place and didn't mean I had switches doing nothing)

I haven't yet wired my seat height adjustment in but I'm going to run a wire under the centre console (fused btw) past the glove box, under the wing and onto the battery. Earth I'll pull from where the seat mounts to the floor.

Also, if you haven't already, have a look at the mk1.5 centre console (the console that goes between the drivers and the passengers seat). It's a nice mod that gives you cup holders that actually works, and if wired up, another cigarette lighter/12v aux socket in the rear.

In regards to the loom, you can remove the wires from the plug and wire them up yourself to a earth and positive for the seat

The ST interior that I got for £17 had the motor as well but my Focus doesn't have the loom so I just used my original frames and bolted the ST seats to them.

That's also a good suggestion, you can mount the seats to the original bases so you have a wind up mechanism as opposed to an electric motor..

Also it was the only option as the connections for the seatbelt were different too as I have the pre facelift focus
