Yeah thanks for that link Karlos.
That's perfect to highlight the more expensive costs from ferriday.
Also the worse design due to no good injector angles. Their machining has been done flat so when the injectors flow fuel hits a solid wall.
Unlike better cheaper design on offer from the creator of the plate.
my advise would be buy the best for a cheaper price. No brainer really.

I was actually thanking you which makes a nice change.
Maybe your not used to accepting a thanks. Normally your going out your way to try and prove me wrong lol.
As anything that is custom made. There is a short waiting period for what ever reason.
If items are on the the shelf you will get them next day.
I have seen the version of plate you had and still the machining isn't great on that plate. All that's been done is a small section to help with flow. It is still a restriction and not the best available.
Thanks for posting pic as it helps others to see what not to buy in comparison.

I get thanks all the time, it just sounded like you didn't like me directing the OP to buy the plate from someone other than you and then went out of your way to try and put anyone off buying anything but yours?! lol Obviously I was wrong.
I don't usually agree with your posts that's all, nothing personal mate, not everyone does things the same way or has the same views... Would be a boring world if we were all the same!

Here's another good one...

This is Jano's for comparison...

I had my own made , laser cut from aluminium then used a dremel on both the head and the inlet so it flows perfect, cost around, Ł30.00 to have cut off my design,
What do the pre made ones cost?

The second one down in the pics Karlos posted is what I thought was the ferriday one. Like I said it has an awful flat machined in. Would work but very bad design.
So going from the 3 on offer ill let you make your own minds up.

But i speak from experiance after 15years plus of building and helping others build their cars and engines.
Anything I comment on I have tried and tested myself.
Not used Internet or hear say to make my mind up.
If you don't usually agree with my posts that would make you more wrong than right.
It can of course be done. But for the time, effort and money saved now days there is no need when they are on offer for such reasonable prices.
Also doing it by hand will take ages to match each port the same. Even done by machine all my plates are finished and checked by hand.
Belive it or not when I first done an efi manifold conversion on my own engine 1998 i had to use a jigsaw on a sheet of alloy. Cut out the gasket shape then drilled holes and made the conversion plate more than a few times. This as you can expect took ages. The injector section was cut like you say with dremel then filed and sanded etc.

I took this into account but as I had a ported head I wanted it to match perfect, I must say it took a while, and to be fair I phoned Cylinder head developments where I bought the head and he said he would port it if I paid the postage,
Also couldn't find a plate at the time,
I will try dig out a picture of the one I made
Well mate I hate to be the one to break it to you.

I don't really want to have an argument with you but saying I'm mostly wrong forces me to respond....
A lot of what you say is crap, like the time you told me (on this forum somewhere if anyone wants to search for it) you could get 230bhp from a stock untouched RST with a standard T3?!
Nobody will agree with that because it isn't possible!
lolOr the time you told me (on the phone) that I couldn't run stock CR forged pistons.... because funnily enough you didn't have any to sell me... but you did have low comp!
High comp and 32psi of boost later I had a very nice forged CVH turbo!

I can also post up photo's of some of the adapter plates you've actually sent out to people if you like? Vastly different from the one in the photo on your site I might add!
But I'm not going to, I'm not going to say any more, people can make up their own minds about what is best for their cars and I don't want to be seen as someone who slates other people or puts down their knowledge or products... I can see why some would, as it benefits them financially, but I don't personally think that's acceptable.
All the best mate.
Just to add my few thoughts:
Sorry, but the plate available from Jano is awful, the machining is quite simply atrocious.
Years ago I did quite a bit of research into different options and bought a number of different plates, the middle photo posted by Karlos G was by far the best available at the time.
I honestly cannot emphasize how poor the Oddkidd adapters plates are.

from those pictures the one at the top looks by far the best finish.

BEING THE CORRECT WORD TO USE.
i did have a batch that was cut wrong X5 mistakes happen.
Everyone had the option to send back. Why didn't you.????
You then go on to say how bad my plates ARE.
Be very Careful here as you are being slanderous with no foundation as the plates 15years on are perfect and industry standard used by everyone.
So next time you want to slate or knock a company do so with correct wording and parts relevant to the argument. Not using an example from years ago to try and lower the standards of my conversion plates or even the standard that OKC operates at. You can tell Karlos has put you upto it lol. Pathetic.
I will pass on your inconsiderate posting.
The main Importance is the injector cutout section and the port match.
Both of these are spot on. Used for ported and matched heads and manifolds without issues.

So you don't Belive I can get 230bhp from a stock engine. So what. Some people say they 400bhp from a ZVH. i say you can and have many customers that are.. and have been for years. Take the time to read a little more and you will see these cars and ask the owner.
Your pistons... you wanted high comp pistons. Why didn'tyou order them and wait for them to turn up.
I supply so many different types of pistons and rods some not even Ford.
Not my fault is it.
Karlos give up and tell your chums to find something worth talking about.

Actually, what you failed to share with the good people of PF is the rather threatening pm you have sent me. But, being the considerate individual I am I will save everyone the trouble of guessing what you might have said.
"Bit of an unfair view don't you think. Quoting issues from 6 years ago.
lol
you must really be clutching at straws between you and Karlos.
Anyway I'll pass on your helpful comments to my legals and to mods on here as I don't see it as fair comments and was done to try and add bad feedback where it was not relevant or required.
Slander is a crime if you wasnt aware but ignorance is never a safe gaurd.
Be aware."

I find the "legals" references quite quaint, bless your heart that's made my day you cheeky little parsnip.
Thanks for these thoughtful insights into the workings of your clearly overcrowded brain. As for if "you wasn't aware", I'm fortunate that my legal background and my grasp on basic grammar are pretty well matched. Take this as you like or take a bit of time to stalk my post history if you can tear yourself away from your pm button.
If you want me to descend into a sad and boring legal tirade - I will. But we will take the merry nature of this thread out with it. I wonder why you wanted to pm me the above information - does my care-o-ometer start shifting into first gear when you send a message only I can see (but it's mostly just the droning stuff from the thread along with what I take at worst as false threats of legal action and at best some sort of poorly articulated attempt at pre-action correspondence).
Just so you are aware (you seem quite concerned about this!!) I am not in any sort of cahoots with Karlos, I've never had any interactions with him. In fact, all we have in common is a dislike of the quality of your products

Can I direct you to the reply given in the case of Arkell v Pressdram (accessible for all on Google)?

Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Straw Clutcher
Looks to me like someone doesn't like it when people slate there products but find it fine to slate others ! But hey what would I no lol all I do is bend bits of tin and stick them together with chemical metal.
