group a coil wiring where am I going wrong ?

No spark coming out of the coil does it need earthing to the body ??

All I did when fitting my group a coil was take connector of old cpil fitted spade connector then did the same to the other connector and it worked. Have you tried your other coil.

Old coil works fine glen I ran out of time but going to test out going voltage on terminals tomorrow , all I did is connect positive to the trigger wire on the new loom put the negative on to the new coil an new coil positive to new loom an connected to the batt

Im pretty sure that metal frame needs earthing to the body

now sorted, earthed the coil to the body still nothing , then removed live off the coil
put back onto the coil hey presto... don't ask me why or how I don't know but it works
now
