Hi i have tried the following
1. plugged a code reader in and there are no codes stored
2. checked the yellow wire plugs and they are fine unclipped and clipped together again

what should i try next as the light stays on all the time

What code reader (make, type) did you use?

 

maxscan reader its never let me down YET lol

 

Any specific type or number for this code reader?
Because most of them only use EOBD/OBD2 protocols, which gives you (limited) access to the engine and automatic gearbox ecu's. Not supported are Abs, Airbag, etc., etc.

I think you should try again with a Ford specific code reader.

 

hi do you know if the ford f super on ebay are any good?

 

it would need to be reading airbag codes and not engine management codes?

some scanners only read engine

 

just got one that can read airbag codes

 

If the light is on permanently there will be a code in the airbag module, as above, needs reading with something different.
