problem is i didnt think that there was a 60ps version and a 85 version being old skool i fooked up its not for me the wifes using it hoodwinked me so can i remap it to 85 ps

 

Is that a mk6 fiesta then I take it. What engine size is it. I thought the smallest engine would be the 1.25 16v. I thought rhey were 75 bhp.

Has yours not got the varible valve timing fitted then.

I never knew that. Ive got a mk7 brochure. I will have to have a look. My mam and dad used to have one. It was a nice car. Shame it had no rear door speakers and I thought the door Interior panels looked to plasticy.

 

Also run a Corsa D / Fiat Punto floor pan

Had some sort of tech info thing in work a while back when they come out from VX saying bout the floor pans. Im sure it was around the same time the issues were raised about the Corsa D brake pads and the mod was to use the FiaT Punto ones but it said the Fiesta used a different brake setup. There is minor differences between a corsa and a fiesta such as the spare wheel location.

 

Bloody hell. Its bad enough the Ford Ka using the same engine as the vauxhall never mind using the same floor pan lol.

 

And yeh I know the Fiat 500 is the same as the Ka.

Ive seen VW diesel engines in Mitsibushi.

Peugeot engines in Fords (old sierras had peugeot diesel engines)

 

And then there was the Mazda & Ford interbreeding for a while!

 

so can you remap it to 85 ps then

 

And that engine is a fiat unit along with the 1.9 cdti. The vectra c is a fiat croma and Saab 93, The vauxhall z22se/yh and z20net units are all from Saab.

 

I think there will be more to it than just a PCM update, you may find differences in the intake system,cams etc.

 

so gurus can i just put a 53 plate engine into it or a st engine off the same year and change the ecu keys and so on
