Lovely stuff, does the turbo need to be externally gated in order to fit a screamer pipe?

The noise you describe has nothing to do with a screamer pipe, because a screamer pipe only makes noise when on boost.

The noise you seek would generally be heard when there is no dump valve fitted.

However as that car has a very very fragile turbo, it would be rather foolish to even contemplate removing the dump valve, unless you're also budgeting for turbo repairs or replacement.

Another 205 owner here mines a wrc so has all that anti lag bollox on manifold if that makes any difference the noise you are reffering to is compressor stall when you let of throttle pressurised air is forced backwards though the compressor housing a dump valve prevents this by releasing excess pressure, mine still neighs abit but mine is not realy standard engine wise, also check your front suspension for wear there excelent when well maintained but expensive when not, i know of some st205s being broke if theres anything your after

Try doing a wee search, this was definitely covered recently.

Good cars though, enjoy it.

Cheers,

Lol
Hey fez,
If the turbos aren't that great on these, which turbo would u recommend replacing it with, I want serious power lol well at least 330 , also a screamer pipe,

The front suspension is solid there is no rust or rot at all over the hole car, no leaks and the engine is clean without any grease or crack stuck to it,
