Default 24v V6 - speed sensor wiring

HI Guys,

I need help with working out how to wire up the VSS on my Saph.

Basically, the car has a 24v Cosworth V6 (BOA Type), using a hybrid MT75 'box, and is all bolted together and running.
However, the VSS and reverse lights aren't wired up. I have the gearbox sub loom (although haven't even looked at where it plugs into the 24v loom, so have no idea as yet if it will even work), but obviously the connectors on thgis sub loom are different to the connectors on the gearbox.

So, my questions are:

-Where does the gearbox sub loom plug in to the original 24v loom (up by the heater box I've been told??)

- which wires from the sub loom correspond with which wires on the MT75 VSS?

- which wires from the sub loom correspond with which wires on the MT75 reverse light switch?

Or, if there is an easier way please please tell me

Thanks

your issues is that you've got a caveman spec loom in your saph and you've got a sierra spec loom for the vss and a granda spec loom to hook it into

if it was the 4wd version it's easy, but on the 2wd version it's much more difficult

i've looked at both the granada loom and the sierra loom (for the cossie granada and the normal sierra) and while i can find the vss (it's apparently numbered as plug no 238 )it's not on any of the diagrams i can see

i haven't got the old school wiring loom so i can't find that one

don't chop the plug as you may be able to unpin the pins and slot them into the correct plug if you find it

c-238 plug you need to be looking for the:

yellow/red wire 54-31
brown wire 31-18
yellow/black wire 54-34

its a triangle plug

i've done some more looking and after the obvious ones like looking for the loom for the reverse lights switch (can't find it) and the reverse lights themselves (there are no wires shown) i finally found a relay location marked for the speed sensor

it's apparently S2 and next to the location of the glow plug relay (S1 ) but, again, it's all i can find as there is nothing telling me where it is

i'm now going to try and decipher the diseasal wiring loom to see if i can find out where this relay is for the glow plugs and then see if that sheds any more light

so i'm still on the case, even after a 13 hour day at work and getting up at 5am

another plug to chase up, C-2055 as that's the only other number i can find in relation to potentially the reversing lights but the loom doesn't show up any other plugs or any other wires going to it to link up with the vss loom

and there is nothing further on the location of relay S2, because it doesn't even tell the location of where relay S1 would be

i'll start on the granada diagrams tomorrow and go through them to see if they show the vss wiring, but a quick look through hasn't shown anything up so far but i'll keep at it
