800-1000hp impreza for sale wowsers..
Saw this for sale and looks immense. Forget your 500-600hp cossies for 25k this has to be the bargain of the century! If it is a genuine 800+hp the acceleration must be phenomenal

If that's genuine power which it must be close too with that engine and mods, complete bargain. Andy forest runs one of these engines in his car at 1000hp and it runs 8's!

That's true, am quite surprised to see a twin turbo setup, I thought normally this type of thing was ditched for a large single.

it still has a manifold either side doesn't it ? as far as I understand it its 3 either side so the same principal as a v engine.
Cheers,

yes I maybe should have said flat 6 but the engine is layed out 3 pistons on each side and that is all that's really relevant to the point im making no matter how pedandic you want to be about it.
Yes, you should have, because that would have been correct... but you got it wrong, which should have been no big deal to accept?!
Yet your reply came across as very snippy and like what he said was irrelevant bollox and that in principal, what you'd said was right.. when what you'd actually said was completely, 100% wrong. Since you'd never actually mentioned anything about principals of 3-cyl per bank/side and had gone firmly down the 'it's a V6' route with your comment and R35 chat.
I didn't like that and thought it was pretty rude, hence why I pulled you up on it and felt the need to comment. HTH.

Cheers,
Grant
They arent cossie brakes after all. They're already 326x30mm discs with decent 4 pot calipers, and similar size at the rear.
I'm sure he has decent discs and pads fitted though.

I see that Scooby slayer had written v instead of flat or boxer but I knew what he was getting at with regards to the twin turbo question so felt no need to correct him, so im sure you lot knew what he was talking about too so I have no idea why if you knew his point why you would even bother to correct unless it was looking to start a bit of bitching
^^^For the sake of it I think lol, which is how a lot of threads on here turn to shit, as for the car, if it's as powerful as it's claimed to be I'm sure it's mentally fast, but it's still bloody horrible imo

Standard size brakes on them are decent. And just because you accelerate fast to 150bhp, doesnt mean you immediately jump on the brakes hard every single time.

ah fair play I assumed they would be smaller than that must be up to the task then, like on a r32 gtr the brakes aren't great at all tbh no good for anything above 400 hp in my opinion.
Correct.

...all that is irrelevant to the point you made originally and the point I am making now. You said it was a V6, I was going to correct you but as I kept reading, I saw that lad come along and correct your mistake quite nicely/politely, with a photo too, as you'd expect in such a friendly community of car enthusiasts.

edited best I don't reply tbh
It's a H6 motor, very similar to a Porsche flat 6 in that respect.
The turbos fitted are 450bhp capable each so the power figure is very realistic.
As said, JGM and Andy Forrest run the H6 motor to serious effect too. Weapon of a car and at a bargain price.
Even with 2 tiny turbos, these things make mega power.

Would hardly say it's a bargain of a price to use the flat 6.. It's a lot more expensive than a 4cyl in many ways
The biggest benefit is a much wider power range, and hopefully less stress on the engine due to it's larger size for any given power output.
But cheap it is not.

And its in this vid at time attack on std road tyres 2:15 in

Looks rapid!
As said, andy forrest is running this engine and he ran a 8.41 quarter at totb. (Ok the hawk is still a full fat, fully trimmed car)
But it looks pret good. My only issues would be the size or lack of, the fuel cell
