I have a 2007 reg transit having a prob with the rear lights.. When i turn my indicator left all the left hand side lighhts work when i indicate right my right indicator and fog flash.. When the park lights are on only 1 side will work all break light work. In bad need of help checkd all fuses and earths and are perfect and all the right bulbs
as glenn said jason clean both sides of connections ,but sometimes its easier to buy new bulb holders as they aint too dear and tend to give a bit of trouble .
Ya i have new bulb holders i didnt get new connection were the cables are tho. All bulbs are in the right places i dont under stand the earth is prfect 2.
Have a look at your main fuse box/body control module, may have had water ingress.
Bloke at work had some weird electrical faults with one and was found to have water in it.
These are only programmable by dealers or anyone with IDS , and I think the As Built data needs to be downloaded from Ford to programme the new module.
just run a provisional one around the outside of the van to test to see if it improves, if it does then you can either find the problem or just put a new cable from the light connector and bolt direct to the chassis by it. it defiantly sounds like a bad earth to me.
Got it sorted. Who ever tryed to do a job on it before me made a ryt bollox of it indicator wire was connected to fogs brakes were indicators and so on.. Made 2 earhts under the van which were rotted away.
