Default st220 towbar

Hi all I'm new on here n just got a st 220 estate n want 2 fit a towbar. I know u cant get one but does anyone know what towbar will fit thanks Dave

That's what I was thinking but bin told a st tdci would fit but wanted 2 know if anyone had fitted on to there's

The chassis should be the same so I don't see why not. You'll probs have to do some DIY to fit it anyway so give it a go. I'm sure a garage would do it for you if needed.

The ST 220 estate is not homologated for a towbar and you wont be insured , a mate of mine has just found this out ! google it and see .

Ya been told u shouldnt but I hardly use it n dont wana sell my car cos of it! So willing 2 risk it!

As above - not type- approved and cannot be used on the road with the towbar- it would not be insured and there is a "construction and use" sanction

So you could get in serious trouble

I guess Ford never wanted it to be used for a towcar
