BT 2meg upgrade..... Anyone else can't have it ?

BT 2meg upgrade..... Anyone else can't have it ?
I've just received a email from BT..... 
So anyone who's line can't support 2mb ? 
I don't understand why i can have 1mb and not 2mb... can someone explain that to me please

its probably down to line quality. or the distance you live from the exchange.
the longer the line the more interference it picks up and signal strength is lost. 1mb will work fine but 2mb may cause the line to drop out completely, easier to leave you on trouble free 1mb.

no mate, there are several of the green "patch" box's
my exhange is about 3-4 miles away

nah, green boxes are jus connection cabinets
the exchange itself is where all the equipment is held etc
you could be a fair distance away.
n the box in ya pic aint a BT one looks to me to be cable as the joint box o/s it, in the floor is too small.... sad aint I????
