Default Escort mk3 1.6, will ford Puma fit and if so, what are the benefits?

Hi everyone.
I own a mk3 Eacort with a 1.6 CVH Autobox and was wondering about a brake upgrade.....
I have acces to a Ford Puna or two and would there be any benefits in converting to run the front brakes, is it a worthwhile upgrade,
I live in Holland so the Escort mk3/4 is pretty extinct here in the scrapyards,
but yipee 2 pumas in the same place.

can it be useful?????

p.s GREAT SITE, keep up the good work and photos, it gives me good ideas

puma brakes normally are 260mm on the later models so will improove stopping power over std mk3 ones, or the st170 or mondeo mk3 300mm brake set ups are even better

Default Puma brakes

Thanks for your reply,

There are enough mk3 Mondeos here in the scrapyards.
so will be definately looking into finding and fitting them.

Yeah that's a good upgrade, provided your wheels are big enough!

Will need 16s to be safe, though they do fit under some 15s too.
