Default Big thanks to PERFORMANCE FORD

Just been sent pics by the Mrs of my feature in this months issue which came out today, I'm in Bucharest so haven't seen the mag myself.
Also many many thanks to all @ PF and especially Simon who professionally handled the writing of the feature and transition of the mag during all the rumours surrounding its future. As will be clear to all now the mmag is still very much alive and well and moving on.

Also, it wouldn't be right for me not to mention Mr.Mannock himself for putting up with me last friday fucking about with my car at his, and the lads at Croft who accomodated me, Agar and Stevenbm as well, it's been a good week apart from having to work...

Oh and 'The Youth', Dalsy, and stevey 'The beard' you're all top lads for your alternator help!

Si is a top lad and nice feature Rog but dont think Si is in the plans for the new owners of the mag unless things have changed, so we shall see what develops in the future

Box is good, well anything is better than a standard MT75

Only bad thing is it now has a standard shifter in it, and the gear change is utter wank, it takes about 1/2hour to change gear, it did have a shifter kit in it but it broke, the whole cradle was in bits, bloody aftermarket shite I suppose. i will just have to get used to the standard shift until i can't put up with it any longer and take the box out again.

It was supposed to go to Tonys for a setup and a couple of minor bits but it was a bit os a disater from the get go, before the car went it developed a bad crunch from 1st-2nd, then 3rd-4th, it wouldn't go into second when you were boosting it from a standing start so the box was due to come out anyway. Then the day before it went to Tonys I mullered the shifter and it only had 2nd, 4th, reverse I think.

End result was box out and rebuilt, diff was leaking after 600 miles so that had to come out, front diff had issues and wouldn't fit in the sump, plus about a million other things Tony found wrong with it Anyway it's basically all fixed now and setup properly. All i need to do in the short term is change the alternator when I get home.

Yup I made it back no problems, although I was careful all the way back until I got to Aberdeen.
Was a brilliant weekend and good to meet you, still can't get over how amazing your car is, it's better than a new one, simply stunning!

Peter Kay camping behind us was a bit annoying when you're trying to sleep and he's waffling away till the early hours.

Thanks Now the car is basically 100% mechanically after Tony worked his magic on it, I can get it cleaned up, bits need painting and the wheels are scabby.

Jay, I've said that about 5 times, and kept putting new boxes in!

Cheers boys, your comments are much appreciated - especially after the last month or so I've had!

It was a pleasure to write Rog - as I said on the phone I've always liked your car and I think that came across in the feature. Sorry it took so long to sort out but we got there in the end!

As for PF - the new editor is a friend of mine and I will continue to work with him on the magazine as a contributor/freelancer. I now write for a BMW magazine too, so it's all worked out!

Again, glad you're happy Rog - car is a stunner.

Thought PF was dead & buried according to another thread. What happened certainly not at my local agent this month just Fast Ford .

Agreed, seems to be one of the catch 22 scenarios, cost money to print more copies and distribute, but you don't get the sales if you don't promote it. I've always found Pf hard to find in shops, it's always every other mag that's in good supply.

I still haven't seen it yet, there's a copy waiting for me at home though

Car is away to get some much needed tlc in the next few months now that it's finally back on track with where it needs to be, I can concentrate on tidying it up.

Cheers all!

I'm in Bucharest working at the moment mate, still haven't seen the mag yet. I won't be home till end of next week, came here day after Croft so not had time to do feck all! At least I get to continue enjoying nice weather though!

Steve, yeah if you could PM me your address mate that would be great, and let me know if you need it sent before I get home and I will arrange something, it was great of you to help me out like that and I don't want to see you stuck waiting on me!

I managed to get a brand new 'old stock' 90amp Bosch alternator for Ł67 delivered thats for a Scorpio, it should be the same, I just need to swap the pulley, at that price I had to take a punt on it Sometimes being a tight cunt pays off

Smit, easy to mistake one good looking car for another!
