Default My mk3 fiesta zetec turbo build

hi guys ive been on here a while never really posted much but for the last few months i have been working on a mk3 fiesta it started when i bought an xr2i that on the face of things looked fine until the bodykit was removed etc etc,

After deciding that the shell was a gonner i looked for another doner shell and came across a blue 1.1 pop plus in almost mint condition so i went down to milton keynes and drove it 200+ miles back and began stripping it.

heres a few pics

Then once it was all stripped i started taking parts off the xr2i i have and it went for paint.

this is the car as it stands atm i will add more pics of other bits in between when i get them my phone broke and i lost quite a few

Its on avo coilovers
mondeo mk3 brakes
comp th mono 15x8
and i am building a 2.1 zetec turbo

as i said now i have started i will add pics as i go and do my best to keep it updated

haha yea they are the ones! im toying with the idea of powdercoating them.

did you have any issues with the 195 tyres on?

i had them fitted as they had semi slicks on when i bought them.i was using coilovers and had no issues. the only reason i sold them was the need for 16's as my engine was fitted lower than normal and i kept hitting the gearbox craddle on the road awesome wheels though

That was a really clean shell! I think you should have kept it Wedgwood Blue though

Nice looking car, not a fan on the Fiesta RS turbo decal though. It really lets the car down, a correct decal for what the car is would be so much better.

How much work is involved in converting the shell from an automatic to manual? Pedals and gearstick I assume?

This is the link to the MK3 I was talking about in the above post. I have a thing for proper 'stanced' cars and with this one being a mk3 its easy to say I have a lot of time for this motor

Yes a Zetec Turbo decal would look good. More to the point it'll then be badged up to what the car is.

And as some of you might hav noticed its a blacktop head on a silvertop block and after trying to find a way around running the cam belt i decided to copy someone off another forum by replacing the core plug with a solid one so i can drill and tap it allowing me to run the silvertop setup just need to make sure it wont fall out :S
