Thanks for the comments guys. These fetch anything from 6k for a average one to 11 - 12k for a minter with low mileage. I paid 10k for mine as its very very clean and have agreed value of 11k on insurance.
She's a 2003 so one of the last e39's. 106000 miles full history.
Remapped for 440 bhp!!

lovely looking m5, been looking for one myself, many dogs out there.
liking the indi's/headlights.
go on, how bad are these on fuel, my 330ci e46 is thirsty at an average of 22mpg, how much worse can an m5 really be?

Lovely M5, I weighed up the M5 when I bought my M3 but I figured that the M5 would be more expensive to run. Still love them though

I'm averaging about 22 to be fair, but have never had it over 29 on a good run. It just won't do it.
Flooring it, I can get it down to 6mpg! Lol
Buy a good one or it will eat money faster than any cossie!
Had two e46 m3's and much prefer the m5 as an all rounder!
Thanks.Lee.
