Default Bumper respray and scratch repair (pics included)

I'm presuming my bumper will need respraying?

If I get the whole bumper done, is it going to look odd against the bonnet and wings? Do I need to get it blended down the wings?

Someone (I know who) kindly scratched the passenger rear panal and rear door, will I have to have the whole left side of the car painted to get rid of it?

It's only quite fine but it's white so I'm guessing it's going to need paint?

Thanks

If that scratch on the wing hasn't penetrated the clear coat it should machine buff out.

Why bother ? It's a oldish car just by a touch up
Pen , could blow half bumper in . An quater
Will need paint can tell you will never polish
That out . On plus side its a good colour to match
Normal shade 90% the time , used to import them

I'd like to bother because it bugs me. I'm not planning on selling it and don't want it looking shabby.

Don't bother trying to blend the bumper into the wings unless your planning on doing the bonnet for chips, but it depends how much you want to spend.

As for the quarter/door - worst case you may need to blend into the front door depending how far down the rear door the scratch goes.

Yeah getting the bumper sprayed won't show badly against the wings at all,any 1/2 tidy shop can do that.
If you can get the bumper off it could be painted off the car, trouble is then as the paints soft you need to be really careful moving it about.
The quarter will need paint but a really good wet flat with 1500 and g3 would significantly improve it but it's deep so it will always show.
I'd say Ł1-150 for the bumper if off the car, another Ł50 or so to strip or mask it and about Ł150 as a base price for the 1/4.
Most bodyshops should offer a little deal for the two,say Ł300 for the lot inc materials.

He's going to make it all clean and shiny for me!!

Just been to bodyshop up the road and they do sports and performance bodywork, particularly TVR and Marcos and turns out the lad doing it I used to go to school with.
It's going to be Ł240 for full bumper respray and some repairs to make the right side corner sit better.
I don't mind paying that as it should be a decent job and I know who he is.
But, the scratch would be Ł500. It's not noticeable but it carries onto the passenger front door so it'd be 3 panals plus blowing it onto the wing.
MOT is due march so I'll get that done before I spend a lot on cosmetics.
