Default 1.8 diesel engine swaps and compatibility

I have a mk6 escort van 75d with an endura de engine

I am replacing this because it's had it and I have came across a 1.8 d mk4 1990 escort with low mileage in my area and want to know if it's a straight forward swap to fit this engine into my van as far as the loom goes etc like is it plug n play as I don't want to go to too much effort?

The old non turbo 1.8 only needs a power feed for the fuel shut off solenoid so it should be very easy.

Other than that you obviously have the starter motor feed and water temp and oil pressure sensor feeds.

its easy a couple of years back I put a 1.8td into my brothers escort 55 diesel van and it was easy but I did end up fitting the front fogs, cenrtral locking, and electric windows for him

So the 1.8 d from a mk4 should without hassle apart from a feed required for the fuel shut off
