Default Bleed valve - How much to turn?

How much of an anti-clockwise turn to make significant power increases? Are we talking a very slight turn (maybe an eighth of a rotation) or more?

Don't want to blow the engine!

Cheers!

a whole turn takes mine from whatever the actuator (12 atm) is at to 18 psi

depends tho, there are loads of different types on teh market so all difer
just do 1/4 of a turn and test drive it

dont be scared, even loads of boost for a few seconds wont be likerly to melt ur lump

your ecu will limit it to 10psi neways unless its chipped
even then most chips limit it to either 15, 20 or 22psi neways unless its done to requirements (all IMO as i have found with my cars over the years)

Thanks again. Did about a sixth of a turn and it rocketed down the road. Suprising just how fast the RS is. It's as quick now (with the slight turn) as my MR2 GT Turbo ever was!

Will play again tomorrow!

Haha, most difficult thing is finding a nice clear stretch of road.

Launches like a bloody roller coaster!

I wouldnt mess around too much with boost if i were you. you need to get it set up properly when you are increasing boost or your engine will live a shorter life

Well, I'm going to take it up to be properly setup once I have completed a couple of minor jobs. Have reset the valve to where it was (I put a couple of marks on it earlier) and then I'll whiz it up to Motorsport Developments as they are pretty much just up the next road (lucky....)
