Default Mk2 FIESTA...ADVICE ON NEW EXHAUST...plz help

Hi fez lovers, Im treating my beloved mk2 1.1 fiesta ghia to a new exhaust. It currently has the standard exhaust and iv been thinking of upgrading it to a new sports exhaust. Iv searched the www. And there are a few examples to pick from. Would really appriciate some feedback off those who have done it or could advise me on the route to take. Thanks for your time boys n girls

Alright Dan,sound for the reply. Having fit your Ashley exhaust system, have you noticed a difference in your cars performance?and sound quality? Welding...is not as simple as taking the old one off and replacing it with the new exhaust?! Cheers Dan f

To be honest there is no point in you changing the whole exhaust system if your going to stick with the 1.1 engine. I know the only reason Dan has fitted the Ashley is because he is upgrading the engine shortly and the exhaust will suit.
Long story short just change the back box if you want a better exhaust note. You wont get decent performance out of the 1.1, no noticeable power improvements so save your cash instead of going full system.

probably the best thing is to weld a bigger pipe from the back box, cost about £20 for a better noise.
no change in performance to note with whatever you do with a 1.1 sadly.
ashley is the obvious choice if you upgrade though.
