i have a zetec turbo build currently with the ib5 gearbox but have being told by quite a few people it wont be up to the job...

ive been looking at the mtx 75 gearbox from the escort xr3i and rs2000 but which clutch would be the best to hack the power (looking for 300bhpish)

a thread on here by "ollie mk5" and he used the focus rs clutch but had to use smaller bolts and space the gearbox out a touch would that be up to the job? or which clutch can i use that would do it?

How much power we talking, the ib5 with an rs turbo lsd and rs turbo ap clutch should be fine?

 

If you got a true 300bhp zetec with around 300tq, it will destroy a ib5 within 2000 miles.

 

Agreed, I've just done it with that torque so moved to FRS box. Anyone know what focus rs clutch kit will handle around 450lbs. I want scope for the future..

 

It would be pushing a standard clutch mate, would go for uprated item!
