Puma widearch cosworth Track/road possible rally car. - new price and contact details
The base car is a S reg puma, which has the full Pumaspeed wide arch kit which cost me around £1300 at the time, it has a full car cage from the front to rear struts which is an approved cage by custom cages, not pictured is the new custom made tank with firewall which fits in the gap in the boot which is aluminium lined as its an odd shape a off the shelf one wouldn't do it.
This is a rear wheel drive Puma with a custom tunnel, front axles are fully adjustable sierra items, with adjustable compression struts and bladed antiroll bar which isn't connected yet but only a little job, running on Gaz coilovers on eccentric top mounts, rear end is sierra back axle, discs and calipers and standard Puma struts, one piece lightened and balanced custom prop and a 7.5"diff.
The engine is a full Cosworth turbo lump with sierra L6 race ecu running a T34, is in good running order, comes with sierra cosworth radiator and intercooler, the clutch is a hydraulic conversion. Also has an Wilwood adjustable bias pedal box set up which wasn't cheap. 19" five spoke alloys with cosworth offsets off an escos.
The bucket seat is in good condition, bought and never used really but out of date for rallying.
Car would come with a dashboard, which can be fitted if needed.
Does run and drive and now has braided brakelines throughout apart from the rear flexi's, standard cosworth brake caliper setup.
updating this to the fact that its probably best sold as a track/road car as the MSA rules have changed I believe and I am no longer familiar with them so don't know if this would or wouldn't be suitable.
contact me (Andrew) on 07411488825 for more details, located near blackwood, Gwent

yeah that didn't sound right so I've been in touch with the guy who's done alot of the work on it and its not a 9" its a 4x4 sapphire 7.5" sorry for the mis-information on that part, don't know why I had that number in my head.
I'm hanging onto my number and appreciate the pm's at the minute I want an Idea of what its worth off people on here that have an idea before i commit myself.
realistically the car is missing a dashboard which any puma/fiesta could be modified to fit which I can supply a puma dash with it, the brakes would need uprating for rallying and the brake line need running, though i have the aeroquip flex from the car to the caliper which again would come with it, and the seat would need replacing if you was going to actually rally it.
Pumaspeed had a 4x4 version so it can be done, but the engine was so far forward that it suffered under braking, and lundged into corners etc so I've moved the engine back as far as possible to gain better weight distribution over all, but yes I'd imagine if you moved the engine it would be possible, but this would be a decision for the buyer.

appreciate the interest I really do, but having been building this for a number of years on and off I really have no idea what its worth and would really appreciate a few people kicking some figures about just to give me somewhere to start, obviously I know what I've spent on it but its the time thats gone into it as well otherwise I'd strip it for bits and sell it that way which I'm not going to do.
If anyone seriously interested can give me a few days just to get some feedback on here and I will start negotiations on it, but I can't afford to sell it for less than what its worth so just holding off till I do have an idea which I hope you can understand.
Thank you for the interest so far though and people will be contacted in the order they've contacted me once I get a price arranged, hopefully that's the fairest way I can do it.

It's pretty easy to work out, consider the rare parts that are on it and take them into account. The shell's good with a proper turret to turret cage, the wheels will go in the skip but the rest is a lot to work with
looks like 7k to me tops, as it sits running and driving maybe more
broken is always more financially beneficial but as with anything it worth what you can get for it
(isnt there a rule here that states put a price of lose your add?)

Thanks again for the replies, no the rules state that you can post a "whats it worth" as long as as soon as you've had good input you state a price and that the car is genuinely up for sale which it is, I think with this been such a rare conversion its difficult to price so thats why I've asked for the advice of people on here that would have a good idea to help me out.
The car is running, minus the water hoses and brake lines really.

well I'm going to start the price off at £8,000ono , and talk to people from there, so If you only wanted to spend £5k it will probably save time. will get in touch with the people who have shown an interest and if its still here after that put my number up and be open to offers.
Personally I'd start at 7k mate
For the parts on there, you could easily make up that without the shell. But I'd keep it realistic considering the current climate and all. Baring in mind, it isn't road worthy either so it would really have to be a full strip down and rebuild to ensure it would meet anyones standard.

John thanks for the chat and hopefully see you late next week.
As said to John the car will be back from the fabricators late next week so will be available for viewings from then.
Anyone interested please drop me a pm.
Finally I priced it at 8K to start with as I'm expecting less than that realistically, but after asking as best I could over the past few days only one person was able to give a realistic quote so I've put this as a starting point otherwise I'd of been on here forever waiting for sensible ideas on price. This isn't your everyday car and anyone buying won't end up with something everyone else has got at the end of the day.

Im in the same situation with my 106 cosworth, im humming and haying to break it (for various reasons) but its hard to put a price on the shell, basically it PUG 106 with super 16 kit, converted to cos 4x4, it has now had extensive further fab work AG Motorsport conversion to utilise all Ford WRC/GRPA running gear aswell as big tunell/full turreted cage, will be fully painted and mint with proper pre peg carbon roof and bars. I have all running gear to get rolling aswell, and another say 20k in parts.
Right been busy with work lately so haven't had chance to update this, bit more info:
Car is back home and running, piping is sorted for the water and looking at having the clutch piped in this week.
More info is the front end has Gaz coilovers, bladed antiroll bar, eccentric top mounts and both bottom arms are rose-jointed adjustable items.
The pedal box is a clutch and brake unit by Wilwood and as said before the cage is a Custom Cages, the fuel tank is custom made by alymax, aluminium tank with firewall and enclosed pump and filter, braided line through the car.
The whole rear axle is from a saphirre 4x4 with standard vented discs, and poly bushed, with standard fiesta suspension, but turrets fabricated with the intention of eccentric mounts.
Exhaust is a modified Sierra Stainless.
Looking for sensible offers around 7250ovno
Pm me and I'll do my best to get back to you asap
Or ring me (Andrew) on 07411488825

I will be honest and say that since starting this I am no longer familiar with the most recent MSA reg's so have changed the description to suit, as I would say honestly I don't know if the car and its modifications would meet the newer reg's, possible but I don't know so now advertised as a track road car possibly rally, best I can say.
