I last used and taxed my car back in 2003! I changed the plates to my private ones, not sure if it makes a difference.
I have never put the car on sorn. What will happen do you think when I try to tax it? Will they throw the book at me or will it be taxed without fuss?
I could try putting my Mrs name on the log book as we have moved too and make out she is the new owner.
What would you do?

 

Might be safer putting it into a different name first just in case they try and get ratty about it.

 

as above, stick it in the wifes name mate with a new address, a mate of mine ended up with a 1200 quid bill when a similar thing happened to him
