Default For track day peeps, tyres ?

I have recently built a little kit car its an MK Indy 2 seater, im looking at tyre choices and i would like to know what people think of the Yokohama A048 compared to the R888 ? or anything else which may be good.

Both good tyres, but IMO, the yokos are slightly better and don't wear out quiet so quickly,

But both are bloody expensive though!

Yeah A048's 195/50/15 Ł157 inc vat each "ouch"

are you gonna be driving it to the track or trailering it? that will dictate as to whether you use slicks i guess

2 very good tyre choices there, with a light car like that you wont see a massive wear rate on the softer compounds

It will be going by trailer, i meant i was unsure on what slicks to go for, ie brand etc.

What about Toyo R1r (not to be confused with T1r), I prefer them to R888

Yokos have a slightly stiffer wall over r888's too so may be a better option I use them on my car and they are the nuts.

camskill is about the cheapest

i really dont think they are worth the extra 40-50 a corner over r888's

so personnally have gone to r888's after first slicks and then a048's

the cost is rediculous at the moment

not shore to be honest im looking for tyres to and came across them. but sliks are the way i think!
