Hi Guys, can someone tell me what has to be done when importing a southern reg irish car back to the UK. Does it go back on to the old uk reg plate it had before it left the uk and is there any cost involved or is it just a basic re reg fee ?

 

Basic re reg fee and if old plate available it goes back to that,otherwise you get an age related plate to the area where you register it which is why you see a lot of older cars on tv program's etc with th,cy,de and wn suffix/prefix's as these are Swansea area plate codes and of course years ago that was where you did all the changing of plates etc.
