Post will 1.6 CVH fit in 1.1 ? (mk3)

if u came across my previous thread i was going to put my kent 1.3 racing engine in my 1.1 but after some crap its needed elsewhere.

so im going to buy a 1.6 CVH (carbed) as there cheap and nice little motors

how much work is needed? do the hubs, driveshafts, gearbox all need replacing? and is there any more engine mounts i dont already have?

any help appreciated and linkys would be great!

It will fit all day long mate, They did a 1.6s in the mk3 and also fitted the 1.6 cvh efi into them too. Gearbox and shafts will fit I know. Not sure what the 1.1 ratios would be like but gotta be worth it for a laugh. gearbox mounts are the same. obviously if keeping your box then thats now an issue either. You may need a cvh drivers sode mount though but can buy them anywhere id say. One thing though. Upgrade the brakes. Even if its just 2i or rs fiesta stuff. I dare say your 1.1 wil be non vented front discs and with extra power they wont respond well
