Default Ka race car, which car and which engine?

I am considering building a Ka race car to compete in the Castle Combe saloon car chapionship, the question is which year car to use ? Do I use the earlier car with the crossflow engine or the later car ( I know nothing of the engine used in the later cars )?

Are there as many tuning options for the 70bhp engine as the 60bhp engine?

Which coilover suspension is best used for track work? Are they camber adjustable or do you have to fit adjustable top mounts?

Thanks in advance Dave

are you alound to change the engine in them? (im not sure of the regs)
if you are id buy the 1.25 zetec-se engine model and drop in a 1.4 zetec-se which you can get that over 100bhp pritty easy.

Unforunately you are not allowed to use an engine that was not originally in the car.

You are using the wrong car. Full stop mate.

I'd buy something thats already been prepped and turned into a successful or at least competitive race car in the series. Save yourself time and alot of money.

This all comes down to money, I don't have the funds to buy the 106 on piston heads. I would probably spend the same amount of money it cost to buy the 106 but I won't be doing it all in one lump. I don't earn as much as I did about a year ago when I got made redundant.

I want something different, the fiesta is about 200kg heavier than the Ka, I know there are lots of tuning options for the crossflow engine. I wanted to know if there are the same options for the later engine as I know stuff all about them.
