Default help!!!! st170 lost its poke

hi everyone i bought a 2002 st170 now when i bought it it was very nippy but everyday it seems to be losing power and get slower and slower, i had the p1518 problem which the car had on when i bought from the dealer unknown to me he had took the bulb out of the dash so the engine managment light didnt come on, i only found out from putting it on diagnostics machine, now i have soldered the spring back into place so it cant jump off but doesnt seemed to have helped

need to gt codes read and go from there really.

Most likely is a fault with the varible intake mechanisim, either sticking linkage, broken cable, or a module fault. The common modul fault is a blown chip on the circuitboard. Chip is about Ł2 ebay and not that hard to repair. (i managed to do mine)

You need to get the fault codes read fella to give you a starting point as it could be so many things.

You need to explain the symptoms.

Does it rev?

Does the Vtec still kick in?

Where is it sluggish?

Sure you're not used to the power?

I had one and it was dog slow and shit on juice and was perfect.....

The CAT went on my old one & felt like a huge sap on power, put it into service mode on ECU...

Might be worth checkin.

I think tbh you need to get it into a ford dealer/specialist as i'm only guessing what the problem may be.

Just had a focus st in with lack of power fuel pump was dead. Just collected a load of shite in the bottom of the gauze.
