egr removal on xr3i 16v engine

Default egr removal on xr3i 16v engine

ive read so much on this and it still isnt clear on what to do and weather it will bugger anything up.

do i just remove the pipes and box off the exhaust manifold and blank the holes up in the manifold??

will the engine run ok ??

will it go in to limp mode ?

anyone done this ??

any help is much appreciated

you will be absolutely fine, easier way would be to find a manifold off an early mk6 as they didn't have aps ( the system on the XR3i isn't EGR as such as it doesn't go back into the engine)

im not sure were it goes to anyway , as i purchased the engine on its own it was fitted with exhaust manifold with the pipes and box but nuthing coming from the box (no electrical plug fitted and no pipe going to were ever it goes to??)

anyone with a diagram of what plugs in were and what pipes go to what as im unsure weather to remove it or not or to set it up as standard
