Default new to fords and asking questions

Hi guys i am new and have a couple of questions about mk3 mondeos as i am looking to buy one.

1) whats the difference between a mondeo Td and mondeo Tdci

2) what type of faults that i need to look out for.

3) what mpg would i usually see around town.

TDCi are renound for injector problems, and the DMF going, both will need doing at some point, its a case of when, not if, and neither are cheap, so try and find one that's had them done

thanks for the reply i have a question i have seen these ford mondeo 2001 Td on autotrader are they the same thing as Tdci and do they have the same faults.

They're either TDCi or TDDI there is no Mk3 TD. TDDI are more crude, less refined but generally more reliable. Having said that the TDCI is reliable, it's just that there are so many of them you hear about the horror stories,
