Default Rewiring 4x4 Saph Cossie, what engine sensors need replacing?

I'm gonna re-loom (engine) my saph cos as it's 22 years old and hasn't been used in any significant way for 5 years at least.
I'm re-shelling into YAP and dans kindly left the interior loom and wiring for me so it's a case of buying/making up a new loom but I've read before on here that a good mod is to replace engine sensors as if I want to put a bit more power in (300bhp sounds nice) then these are common fail points.

If anyone could enlighten me that would be great, and approximate prices would be good too as if they pop up on here 2nd hand/new I'll know roughly the route to take.

Also the car starts and runs now,a bit rough but it's stood a long time, idles fine and starts instantly so no issues.

Good move changing the sensors, plus i would change the rotor arm and dizzy cap as well.
I'll start the ball rolling with:
Engine and coolant sensors.
Crank sensor.
Map sensor.
Phase sensor.
Lambda sensor.
Throttle position sensor.
Sure there's more that someone else will remember

Here's a link to whats available on fleabay :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_tr...4.l1581&_pgn=2

If links aren't allowed mods then please dont do a Tabetha on me, it wasnt deliberate

use heat shrink on any loose wires you dont want any future problems it will keep all the wires from heat or getting brittle. matt lewis does the looms mate

Cheers lads.
Yeah the bespoke looms look excellent quality (mark 24v wiring iirc) but I'm a spark of nearly 20 years in industrial control and I'd feel a bit of a fool buying a loom off someone if you know what I mean???
I'll get those sensors sorted, get the whole thing as new,the cars already been chipped and pulls 1 bar boost so it shouldn't be too hard to get 300bhp out of it reasonably reliably.

I dont hammer my cars anyway.

That's great news mate,I've bought it blind but after a good chat with dan he's been very honest about any work the shell needs which is pretty minimal, one arch and a little area around it I believe.
For what I've paid it would have cost me near enough for the carbon roof and a few other bits,I'm happy anyway.
I'm picking it up next month then (hopefully) building mine into it in July, get it moted and then get my old panels(boot, bumpers bonnet) sprayed up to match.

Might leave it looking a bit hound dog for a bit though, although black bonnets and the like seem all the rage right now.sadly even 17year olds know what a Cossie is these days,no sleeper fun in them!!!

I see no point in replacing sensors if they are working ok.

The only one that I feel worth replacing, and indeed have done so myself, is the CTS as being a thermistor these can go out of range, you may want to do the ATS as well, (This is the same sensor just in a different housing)

Fuel pump and fan wiring are far more crucial!

I know where your coming from mate but in all honesty mattlewismotorsport does an "ultimate kit" for under £100 delivered, probably under £200 for all I need.

It'll be (at a guess) £100 in connectors,wire=free,heatshrink=free,solder=free.

I've found some perfect things in work to make my battery a round terminal type and then be able to bolt any connectors down properly rather than my current set up of about 20 positives(no exaggeration) bolting through a soft lead terminal with various badly bodged ring terminals on them, not a pretty sight.

In all honesty the loom looks in good order but I know it's a common fail point on these.

Fuel pump and fan will of course be done,I believe that (fuel) was the cause of my engine failing and being subsequently rebuilt about 3000 miles before I bought it and I believe it hasn't been done as the lad that built it was told a different story.

Luckily Andy Penn on here told me or it could have been rebuild time again!!!
